Tall Jazz was founded in 1989 featuring the unique sound the vibraphone in a trio context.

Mike Horsfall (vibes,piano) and Dan Presley (string bass) have pioneered this great sound into a popular and musically engaging group.Tall Jazz has recorded 6 CDs on the PHD label, and performed thousands of engagements including major jazz festivals, concerts, club and hotel dates.

Concert/tour highlights include performances at the Mt. Hood Festival of Jazz; Vancouver,B.C. Whistler Jazz Festival; concert tour with the Oregon Symphonic Band and Portland Symphonic Choir, and a concert tour of Japan in 1998.
