The Con Grazia Wind Quintet of the OREGON CHAMBER PLAYERS was formed in 1995 by wind players of the OCP.
The quintet maintains an active performance schedule throughout the Northwest. Performances have included two performances for the St. Mark’s Concert Series in Portland, Brookings Chamber Music Series, the Newport "Coffee Concerts" Series, "Saturdays @ Central Library" Concert Series in Portland, "Music at Midweek" at the University of Portland, the Neskowin Chamber Music Series, and several concerts as part of a residency program at Marylhurst University.
The quintet also does concerts/workshops for schools, working with students of all ages, and in 2004 was added to the Young Audiences Program roster.
The Quintet also does educational programs such as the "Inside Music" Series at Portland State University, and concert/demonstrations for schools, complete with sectionals for the school's band or orchestra if desired.
Their repertoire includes Holiday favorites including audience sing-a-longs, pieces especially geared for children, lighter pieces (dances, jazz, ragtime, etc.), and all of the quintet "standards", as well as accessible new pieces, even music premiered or composed especially for the ensemble.
Their music is perfect for any concert series, weddings, elegant cocktail parties, holiday celebrations and all kinds of special events.
