Rick Meyers has been performing and teaching his extremely popular  pioneer music, dance, and folklore shows for children and adults since 1976.

His presentations at libraries, schools, festivals, farmers markets, and parks and campgrounds are known for their humor, and high level of audience participation.

His PIONEER MUSIC EXPERIENCE presented at museums and historical centers is a popular event.

The instruments he plays include banjo, guitar, autoharp, musical saw, spoons, jewsharp, lumberjack, washboard, ukulele, and washtub bass.

In addition to performances and residencies, Rick also works as a therapeutic music specialist providing healing music for all ages at special care facilites and assisted living communities.

Appropriate for audiences of any size and age, this show is a popular addition for any festival that draws a family audience. It is often scheduled for a family/children's stage, but also works well as a main-stage event for festivals that like to include a performance which is geared for children as well as adults. OLD-TIME HOEDOWN:

A fun event for all ages. No prior experience is necessary as all dances are taught right on the spot!  American square, circle and line dancing.

Rick can perform as a Soloist, in a Duo, or in a group of 4 or 5 other players.
