Vocalist, Myrtle Brown grew up in Portland, and spent many happy hours making music with her good friends, soul and blues diva, Linda Hornbuckle, and pianist, Janice Scroggins. She has also sung many concerts with Marilyn Keller in the Disciples of Song Gospel Ensemble.

In more recent years, Brown enjoyed great success as featured vocalist with Jimi Lund's Bluemasters band.

However she got itchy feet and decided to move to Las Vegas. After a two year stint, we have just learned, (June 2005), that she is moving back to Portland to work with Lund's "New" band of old colleagues from his Las Vegas days, singing all the jazz, blues, soul and R&B hits she loves so much.

Brown and Lund have worked together for nearly 15 years. Her quiet confidence and warmth truly light up the stage. Together, with Lund's dazzling guitar technique, the rapport that she and Lund bring to the music, is sure to create a whole new batch of fans.
