Inimitable,Powerful,Charismatic,Smoooth Crooner none like the "KATT". With the voice of a balladeer, the stage presence of a sleek and powerful feline and a massage for the masses, Katt is rising out of the roots of legendary artist such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Dennis Brown. Whether Katt is delivering a roots message, or soothing you with a sweet lovers rock,he'll keep you rocking. In Jamaica and others in the U.S. who have had the pleasure to hear his music or has seen one of Katt's performances, places him in the category with some of Jamaica's greatest reggae artistes. At a tender age "Katt" (A. "Delroy" Burton) began singing around Kingston, Jamaica (where he was born and raised). He received the nickname "Katt" for his cat green eyes and his powerful voice like a lions roar. "Katt" was soon discovered by known producers such as Phillip "Fattis" Burrell (X-terminator Label) Danny Brownie (Main Street Label) Lincoln "Style" Scott (Roots Radics Band) and many more. Although "Katt" had the talent and few songs were released, his career was at a stand still. Needing to survive and feed his family, "Katt" moved to Ocho Rios (a tourist resort town on Jamaica's famous North Coast) and began singing on the hotel circuit. This move proved financial and musically beneficial for Katt. He quickly became known as one of the best artiste on the North Coast. In the years to follow Katt did some recordings and formed a small company "Katt's Production". In the year 2000,Katt co-produced his album/CD entitled "CHANT". A single from the CD entitled "Natty" is being distributed throughout Jamaica by Penthouse Records on the Life Eternal label. Also The Progression Posse(band) has two songs being distributed in Jamaica by Sonic Sounds (1) Johnie (2) Red Light,on the Yaad Muzik label. Katt is the lead vocalist on both tracks. Katt also made another bold step by cutting away from the hotel circuit and concentrating on his musical career full time. Katt has made numerous TV appearances and has been performing at various shows throughout Jamaica such as the 2001 Bob Marley Birthday Bash in Trench Town, Kingston Jamaica, the 2001 Jamaica Federation Of Musicians Award in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and more. Katt has also performed in the U.S. opening for some of reggae's greatest artistes such as Toots and the Maytals, Micheal Rose, Mutabaruka, just to name a few.
