Estella and Alberto, are a husband and wife team. They stroll and sing Mexican and Mariachi favorites and play guitars. Alberto and Estella have been performing Mexican Music for the past fourteen years. They have performed in many well-known Mexican restaurants throughout the Northwestern states of Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Their music has taken them to the Seattle Space Needle, Spirit Mountain Casino, Chinook Winds Casino, Portland Convention Center, and at county fairs in Canby and Corvallis, and the Oregon State Fair in Salem. They have also played at Emanuel Hospital, have been "auctioned" at the Zoo, played annually at the Grotto Christmas Festivities, and performed at Art In The Pearl for several years. They have also played at many Grand Openings, on Radio and Television. Alberto has been perfecting his craft in the mariachi musical style for many years. Since the age of twelve, he has enjoyed the Mexican tradition of music playing various musical instruments such as the guitar, requinto, and the guitaron, a Mexican six-string bass. He sings songs from some of Mexico's greatest vocalists including Javier Solis, Pedro Infante, Vincent Hernandez and others. Estella is from Texas. She has been a lead singer, enjoying the Mexican folk style, and performing around the Portland metropolitan area with her band Los Tres Amigos. She has challenged her self to learn to play many different instruments including electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, mandolin, and the vuela. She enjoys performing songs from Lucero, Linda Ronstad, Lola Betran and Los Ponchos. Together, their musical style and vocals harmonize on all styles of Mexican Rancheras, Boleros, and traditional folk ballads. Audience participation is always welcomed. |
