Guitarist, David Langenes began playing the violin at the age of five. After eight years of study, he switched to the acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin and electric bass.
He learned Jazz, Classical and finger-style guitar before studing jazz composition at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston.
David is an extremely versatile artist who adds beautiful texture to a variety of musical projects.
Most notably, David has performed wtih Portland recording artist Nicole Campbell, and has worked as a session player for such local acts as Jen Benard, Charlie Nanos, the Decemberists, Brian Cutler, Jane Wright and Ezra Holbrook. He has most recently joined the Stolen Sweets.
David is well-versed in every guitar style from Classical to Jazz, and is a sought-after performer.
David has taught acoustic and electric guitar privately for seven years, and is the author and co-producer of a currently-available guitar-teaching manual.
